Pastor Shane was called to Grace Fellowship Church in November, 2024. He has deep love to see God‘s Word faithfully preached and taught not only from the pulpit, but in every area of life. His greatest delight as a pastor is to see God ‘s people sanctified in the truth of the Bible, fully embracing the doctrines of the faith as ultimately embodied in Jesus and understanding those truths to be far more than propositional in nature, but pastoral and provisional in the blessed context of a relationship with Christ as Savior and Lord, who Himself is the only way, Truth, and Life.
In his free time, you can usually find Pastor Shane reading theology or philosophy, still trying to master the guitar and various other musical instruments, or just enjoying the company of friends and family in thoughtful conversation.
Lucinda (Cindy) Lear has served in music ministries over 40 years and in various capacities with her late husband, Roger, who received his training at Moody Bible Institute in Chicago. Lucinda earned her B.A. in music with a vocal emphasis and an M.A. in Music with an emphasis in piano from the University of Northern Iowa in Cedar Falls, IA. Cindy has served as choir accompanist, worship pianist, soprano section leader and children’s choir and bell choir director at several area churches. She currently directs the Village Voices choir in Waterloo and is worship team leader/pianist at Grace (Brethren) Fellowship
Jean has been with us since the fall of 2016. Prior to coming to Grace Fellowship, she worked in a very busy medical office as an Administrative Secretary to the Executive Director and the facility’s Marketing Director.
While a transplant from the East Coast, Jean has been in Waterloo since the mid 70’s and considers this her home. Jean’s husband, Jerry, a native of Waterloo, is a retired Waterloo Firefighter. The Camaratas have three grown children and six grandchildren. Jean feels she has been more than blessed these past years to be a part of the Grace Fellowship family. Jean says that sometimes in the office she feels like her head is on a swivel, going from one thing to another, but she loves it and loves staying busy and helping others while in service to Him.
In her free time, she enjoys reading, baking, gardening and spending time with family. She and Jerry are pretty much homebodies, but she does enjoy talking to her sisters (via facetime) every week.
